In spite of the incredible advances in science, medicine and technology, why are we seeing soaring rates of chronic diseases? Why has there been a surge in colon cancer in young people? Why are we suffering a mental health crisis?
Ultra-processed foods, excessive sugar and refined starches are one of the biggest threats to our health. They not only rob us of physical and mental energy on a daily basis, they’re an underlying cause of most chronic diseases including type 2 diabetes, fatty liver, heart disease, cancer, depression and dementia.
That’s why I’ve joined an exciting line up of dynamic doctors and clinicians to speak at the one-day Low Carb Foundations Course in Sydney on Saturday 26th July.
The course is designed for health professionals* and interested individuals to deepen their understanding and practical application of low-carb dietary approaches for a range of chronic health conditions. My presentation will explore dietary interventions to treat Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases.
*Health professionals attending the course include GPs, specialists, surgeons, dentists, physiotherapists, OTs, dietitians, health coaches and students in science and medicine.
What you can expect to learn:
- Why is the low carb approach so effective at curing diseases that modern medicine deems to be incurable?
- What is the science and research behind therapeutic carbohydrate reduction?
- Why is low carb still not mainstream treatment?
- How can you adopt a low carb lifestyle and continue to enjoy eating with family and friends?
- Why eating low carb is not as difficult or complicated as most people believe.
- Specific approaches to reverse type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, liver and kidney problems, Alzheimer’s dementia, and more.
- The sessions will be practical, interactive, and allow for in-depth questions and answers.
The venue encompasses nature, trees, natural light and fresh air.
Lunch will comprise a nutritious, delicious low carb buffet that will make you wish you’d been eating this way for decades.
A conference doesn’t get much better than this!
