Thank you to everyone who listened and sent me comments and questions after my conversation with Philip Clark and Carolyn Cranwell. I really appreciate your support and I’ll answer your questions in upcoming Health-e-Bytes.
Carolyn is a lawyer and senior transport security advisor for Government who cared for her husband Richard for 18 years after he was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s. Richard passed away in November 2014 and Carolyn is now determined to raise awareness of the impact of long term Alzheimer’s care and to lessen the stigma associated with the disease. She is the author of the book, Navigating Alzheimer’s – Survival Secrets of a Long Term Carer.
In case you missed it, you can listen to our discussion about dementia diagnosis, prevention and care-giving here.
PS The photo is my idea of adventure preventing dementia by trekking the Kokoda trail.
Please forward this Health-e-Byte to anyone whose life has been touched by dementia.
