Why do 35 million people in the US have type 2 diabetes?

Click here to watch Macka B (Christopher Macfarlane) deliver his amusing, veracious message about sugar. Macka B is a British-born Jamaican reggae artist, performer and activist. I believe his salubrious song needs to be heard in schools, medical conferences and aged care residences.

Please forward to anyone who doesn’t believe in the harms of sugar — or just wants a few minutes of educational entertainment.

Photo credit: I took this photo at a shopping mall in Nashville, Tennessee. While not everyone who is diagnosed with type 2 diabetes has a sweet tooth, the fact that sugar is added to 80% of packaged foods (be they sweet or savoury) is a huge contributing factor to the upsurge in all chronic diseases.
